Women continue to be under-represented in the Energy workforce at all career stages., the first-ever dedicated study on gender balance in the Energy industry, reported in 2017 that overall gender diversity in Energy sits at 22%1.  Additionally, 35% less women make it to boards in Energy1 compared to similar industries.

Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) are core values for the industry, and on International Women’s Day this year, we encourage everyone to #choosetochallenge the industry and themselves, by participating in the 2021 ‘Untapped Reserves 2.0’ survey on Driving Gender Balance in Energy.  Companies can do so by providing D&I related organisational statistics which will form a company benchmark and allow them to track their progress against their peers on gender issues.

The data collected through these surveys will be critical to drawing out true-to-reality insights on ongoing challenges and proposing a path to achieving gender balance in Energy industry. This is your chance to share your views on what is working, and where more work is needed.
